The Decorated Bathroom Company LLC was founded in 2006 from a studio in
Henderson, NV in the suburbs of Fabulous Las Vegas. Taking over the business
from Madrona Studios in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and relocated production
to Nevada, all of the sinks and designs are created by hand in the USA using
the age-old tradition of ceramic decoration. Each one is a work of art made
with love and great care.
The sinks, toilets and accessories are
decorated with a combination of ceramic decals with some hand-painted
embellishment. Ceramic decals are extremely durable and are the same kind of
decals used on mugs, plates and china for over 100 years. It is assured they
will not wear out or fade away over time with proper care.
Sinks and toilets are kiln-fired to
temperatures in excess of 1500° Fahrenheit which fuses the design permanently
with the glaze on the sink. Using only first quality vitreous china sinks and toilets,
which are a hard, non-porous surface with a glossy finish that is impervious to
water absorption, most sinks and toilets are made of it.
Hand Painted Vessel sinks are the original wash basin. Going for
an uber modern look with a wall hung vanity or get creative with an antique
dresser or cabinet, is always the best option. Decorated Porcelain loves vessel
basins because they sit above the counter and are ideal for decoration. Most of
the vessel sink designs can be applied to any shape of vessel sink, square,
round or oblong. Many vessel sinks are best used with a slightly lower level
vanity so the height is more comfortable for hand washing.
